Coronavirus, but you still want to reduce your pain!
The most useful physiotherapy treatment is usually hands-on. However, due to COVID-19, right now this might not always be possible. But there is good news!
Discuss your injury with our physiotherapist
Video consultation gives you direct access to one of our specialized physiotherapists, from wherever you are located. With a video call from your phone or PC the physical therapist can assess your injury, support you in your rehabilitation, monitor your progress and adjust your exercise programs together with you.

What do you need for a video consult?
It’s quick and easy. All you need for a video consultation is a telephone, iPad or PC. Before your appointment you will receive an text-message containing a link to our video consultation environment (Clickdoc) and a login code. You can open this link directly on your smartphone, enter the login code to access the online waiting room.
Your physiotherapist will connect with you at the scheduled time. It is important that you are logged in at the start time of your appointment to ensure that your appointment goes well. In case you prefer or the video call cannot be done successfully, your therapist will contact you by phone.
How does physiotherapy-at-a-distance work?
Your first consultation will last approximately thirty minutes. We will get you started with a comprehensive evaluation of your current functional deficits, pain level and posture. As well as a thorough evaluation of your flexibility, strength, balance and endurance. Your licensed therapist will review any recent events that may have contributed to your current condition. Following your screening and evaluation, the physiotherapist will thoroughly explain your personalized treatment plan and expectations for recovery. You will be provided with home exercises by e-mail as well.

Extensive Exercise Database
We have access to an extensive database with video exercises and instructions. Your physiotherapist will create a personalized program for you and will give you online access to exercises videos. The exercises are easy to watch on any device. Doing the exercises in the comfort of your home will speed up your recovery without having to come to the clinic!

How can we help you by video?
The advantage of a video consultation is that the therapist can observe your posture, your gait and see you perform your exercises. Based on these online observations and your conversation, you’ll be advised on how to treat your injuries. You’ll be provided with:
- Tips on reducing your pain
- Advice on aids (such as braces, balance pad)
- Improve your work posture
- Setup for your home workplace
- Help with (massage) self-management
- Recovery-promoting breathing exercises (for ex corona patients)
In case your clinical situation is not appropriate for a video consultation or you need a physical examination, your therapist will consult with you about the next steps for hands-on therapy.
Video consult reimbursement
Physiotherapy video consultations are covered by your health insurance, just like regular physiotherapy. We have contracts with all Dutch health insurance carriers. If you lack coverage, we’ll send you an invoice for a session of physiotherapy.
Testimonials about Fysio Masters video consults
“At first, video calls didn’t seem relevant to me. I have neck pain and always benefited from hands-on care. However, based on my current injury, Samira examined me remotely and gave me good posture advice. Even after the stretching exercises I do now and self-massage, things have improved a lot ”. – Dylan
“It was really cool that Jan Willem was able to access my gait from a distance. With that he came up with advice for better posture and soles. I immediately purchased a pair! I will continue to do my exercises at home and would love to come back to him physically when this bizarre corona crises is over. ” – Quinty
“I got operated on a new right hip two weeks ago. At first, the physiotherapist came home to practice exercises with me. However, we have now switched to video consults due to corona. It works much better than I expected. Samira showed me some exercises and even my husband was called to assist”. – Sascha

Delay physiotherapy (because hands-on care isn’t possible)?
For NASA astronauts who are often away from home for months, remote physiotherapy is self-evident and of great importance. To monitor their health, astronauts take measurements remotely, so that physiotherapists gain insight into irregularities.
With remote physiotherapy, astronauts are advised with self help how to correct irregularities. In contrast to previous flights without remote health advice where symptoms were able to worsen, the astronauts now return to Earth fit and without health problems.
